Cotton crochet tote bag pattern

Crochet tote bag CAL

Crochet tote bag CAL

Learn to make your own crochet tote bag with a pattern and Youtube tutorials.  This is a crochet tote bag CAL starting on Thursday 14th April 2022. The pattern is currently available to buy here. The CAL will run from Thursday 14th April to Thursday 5th May 2022, but the finished pattern will be available any time.

What's a crochet along?

A crochet along, or CAL as it is also known, is essentially a group project. Several makers purchase the same pattern or sign up to the CAL and over the course of weeks, they work through the pattern with hints and guidance from the designer. It's a great way to connect with other makers over a pattern and increase your enjoyment of the project.

When you purchase the pattern, you will be entered into the CAL email list. You can unsubscribe any time. Check the blog weekly for instalments and more hints and tips.

Can I make a tote bag?

I will be publishing the Totes crochet bag pattern on the 14th April and we will work on it for 4 weeks. I will show you how to make a colour change granny square, how to join squares, make panels, sides and handles. Completed and photographed crochet tote bags will be entered into a prize draw to win some handmade stitch markers!

I run CALs all year, with the hope of finding crochet beginners who can't find lessons near to them. We can learn online with exclusive video and pattern content. The last CAL was for the beginner granny square blanket and it was a hit!

I hope that you can join us in time to make a summer essential!
