Knitting pattern with instructions to make a knitted shawl like the one pictured.

You will receive one A4 printed pattern with this order.

The Tideline shawl is an asymmetrical shawl inspired by the British coastline and the work of potter Roz Dowen. She regularly uses colours and textures inspired by the sea and the beach near where she lives in West Wales. This shawl is constructed side to side in garter stitch with some simple but graceful colour changes throughout. The uneven columns represent the unevenness of nature and the constant change of the tide.

Gauge 34 rows and 32 sts per 4”/10cm square using 3.75mm (US 5) needles using garter stitch.

Materials:

1 set of 3.75mm (US 5) needles.

100g (700m/760 yds) of lace weight yarn such as Blacker Breeds BFL lace. I used  2 x 50g balls:1 ball of shade Moonlight Gourami (CC) and 1 ball of shade Blue Tang (MC). 350m (380yds) per ball.

When blocked, shawl measures 184cm (72.5 in)  at longest side, 45cm (17.75 in)  deep, 80cm (31.5 in)  182cm (71.5 in).
